Great web site...Thanks for all you do Marilyn..
Marilyn, you are blessed, to be a blessing to others. With the information on this site we can cross reference and clarify many different entries in the genealogys. Our visit to Australia in March for their reunion was a great life long dream of mine, and was surprised to hear good comments about this web site. The articles from Australia are a great source of information. What a great heritage we have.
My great grandmother was Gladys Mae Enders, her father was Valentine Oliver Enders, And His Father was Valentine also. So I think I am related to these Enders. If anyone could let me know that would be wonderful. I would love to join.

I am not new to your site, having found it a few years ago and being in touch with Cecil Pottigier ever since. That has been fun as we try to figure out how our Enders lines connect. I live about 20 miles east of Vancouver, BC, and most Enders in Canada are related to each other somehow. There are a few who are not, now and then, often with connections to the American Enders, including one in my town. Most are descendants of my great grandfather Heinrich Jakob Enders who came to Canada in 1892 and settled near Edmonton, Alberta. He was married to the sister(Maria) of my mother's grandfather, Friedrich Ulmer. Friedrich's very extended family bunch came over together, hence Heinrich Enders with them. I never knew about his own family until recently, but now have my Enders line back to Gabriel Enders, born about 1700, in Eckweiler, Germany. His son Christoph Enders married and lived in Kirschroth. They emigrated to Galicia when the Austro Hungarian Empire was taking lots of settlers. That was about the same time that the American Enders began living there. I have a great deal of information about Galizien records for those of German descent, including 79 village files of records. I can let you know what I have if you email me and I will send back a summary you can share if others ask you. Cecil suggested I get in touch -- one of these days we hope to figure out how the two branches of Enders really do connect. Kathy

Dale Enders, son of Marlin and Marilene, was the best friend that I ever had in my entire life. He died in my house that Marlin and myself got so I could watch over him. I was so hoping to get to say hi to the folks before they passed away. If ever in my life I ever lose perspectives on what good people are really like, they are my expectations of good and honest. I love them with all my heart. B
First cousin of Dale Clayton Enders.
I'm hoping to trace my family history, I'm new at this and have been hesitant to get started however I hope to soon. Nice site, enjoyed the visit and will return again. John G. Enders York, PA
What a wonderful web site. I'm VERY impressed. I especially liked the "survey" as it got me to thinking that I had to answer "no" to many of the questions. So.....I've made resolutions to change that. I'm so proud to be part of the Enders family.
thanks for the update
I think your website is fabulous. It gives you a lot of everything. Very easy to look thru for relatives.
Terrific site! Keep up the good work, very informative, newsy and interesting.
Hello; My name is Richard A. (Chuck Fegley), I had attended the family reunions in the early 90s with my grandmother Esther Mae (Straw'Enders) Fegley. She died in 1995 at the age of 100 and she attended the reunions for several years. I enjoyed bringing her and had a wonderful time as well. I retired the following year and have not attended since then. My oldest sister Ann Mae (Fegley) Newcombe has been attending. I hope to attend this year and would like to help with the Reunion and work that is needed if I know of the events in advance. Hope to see you in August. Thank you, Chuck Fegley

Finally found something about the Enders family. I am the grand-daughter of Otto Oscar Paul Enders, born Germany 5.5.1901 (husband of Auguste Henriette). Grandfather was interred in Australia during WWII and my mother and grandmother were re-united with him after the war and lived (and died) in Mount Isa, Queensland. Would love to know if there is any connection with your Enders clan.

Ellsworth E. Enders (1-14-9-2-2) b. 1874 in Enders, PA; d. on Apr. 25, 1940 in Jersey Shore, PA and buried in Fairview Cemetery, Enders, PA; married Catherine Shaffer about 1893 at Enders, where she was b. in 1875, the daughter of Peter and Susan Matter Shaffer. She died June 1927 and buried in Enders.
Enjoyed your site very much. Keep up the good work.
I am reviewing the book that includes the interesting and awesome collection of patriots in the book, "Captain Enders Legions." You are to be congratulated for being responsible for this publication.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
My sincere thanks for your kind comments on our 4-1/2 year Civil War epic,
"Captain Enders Legion!"
I never thought we would have this multitude of family ancestors who fought and
would die in this tragic Civil War. In checking with Kent State Press and
White Mane Publishing, I was told that the 162 of our family in this publication
was a record in numbers as far as they could recollect.
Since our book was published 14 months ago, seven (7) more family have been
discovered who served for the Union, of which two (2) more were killed in
action. In recapping our totals, we now have 162 Union and 7 Confederate
who served! Twenty (20) died for the North and two (2) for the South.
The amazing fact that sticks out, not one of our family deserted during these
four years of living hell.
Hopefully, the mystique and the many sacrifices of our gallant and heroic
family, will spread throughout our great country as a remembrance to the 624,211
American's who perished in this fanatical "War Between the States!"
My best wishes go out to you for taking the time to review our book and to
imagine the horrors of war that our family experienced.
Karl Schaeffer

For starters I love the web site. I never thought I was related to so many people. My Grandfather was Edward John Enders (St. Louis, Mo.) my father is Edward Owen Enders (St. Louis, Mo.). And of course I'm Edward Keith Enders (St. Louis, Mo.) I Don't have any information about were I come from before my Grandfather. I do know that years ago he was invited to the reunion in Penn. and in Australia. But he was not able to make the trips. I want to know where I fit into the tree. Can someone help me out on this information? One more question about the Enders seal, where did that come from? Thanks for you time.

Part of the Enders family from Central New York (Cazenovia). Younger brother Nicholas, father Carl Joseph Enders, uncles Charles and Richard Enders, grandfather Paul Joseph Enders and grandmother Anna (Zupan) Enders. Not quite sure beyond that - wondering if we're part of your PA clan since we are so close?? Great site regardless!

Hello, I noiced this site today while doing a little web-surfing. I have traced our family registery to Johann W. Enders Appenrod Germany c1840. Apperrod is a a little town east of Hamberg, I think. Johann died in Indianapolis In in 1910. The documents are in German and the copy is hard to read. If this rings a bell with any genelogist please write. Great web site.

Great web site. I have no clue if I am in this Enders family but I'll give as much info as I can. I am Daniel James Enders (b.4-17-73) son of Garth Frederic Enders (b. 5-8-43) grandson of deceased Frederic and Francis (Jurn) Enders. All I know is that the family is originally from Germany, but as far as i have been able to go back is to g-parents in Capac Mich. If anyone can help with any info it would be very much appreciated. Its nice to see that there are so many Enders out there considering i have never met one in my travels. Thank you very much it is a wonderful site.
Do
you have birthdays for your ancestors? We have not been able to find a
connection. We need more information.
I need a complete email address in order to post your query on our Researchers page. Our

My Grandmother was Eulela May Seal, her parents were... Theodore Buchanan Seal and Carolyn McKibben. Theo's parents were... Josiah Seal and Julia Ann Bradshaw. Josiah Seal is the son of Daniel Seal and Catherine Miller. Catherine's parents were... John Miller and Christina Jane Enders. Christina's father was Johann Philip Christian Enders. My information comes from a book titled A Genealogy of the Enders Family 1740 - 1959 by Sylvester William Baker. I do not have a copy of this book, my uncle had photo copied pages from it for me.
